Florida Attorney General

Gentlemen:
By signing my name below, I am stating my belief that the families of Gus Grissom, Roger Chaffee, and Edward White, as well as the American people, deserve to know the truth about the cause of the fire on January 27, 1967, on launch pad 34 during ground testing of Apollo 1.
I understand that Scott Grissom, son of the late astronaut Gus Grissom, has recently uncovered suspicious evidence of sabotage, which demands new independent analysis and research to determine its role in the fire on Apollo 1. Please do not reconvene another NASA body to investigate itself on these matters. Appoint expert scientific, technical and legal authorities on the relevant subject matter who have no ties to NASA or its contractors.
The race to the moon is over. The Apollo program was ultimately a *success. There is absolutely no reason why the American people should not now learn the truth behind this terrible tragedy.
Very respectfully submitted,
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
